Concerto for Orchestra, Sz. 1164 - Béla Bartók

Béla Bartók (1881–1945), Hungarian composer and ethnomusicologist. Concerto for Orchestra, Sz. 116 was composed in 1943 during Bartók’s exile in the United States. The work combines Hungarian folk influence with modern orchestral color and brilliant virtuosity, allowing each section of the orchestra to shine, and is regarded as one of the most important masterpieces of 20th-century orchestral music.
